Severe gut ischemia reperfusion reduces hepatic mononuclear cell numbers in mice

چکیده
INTRODUCTION Gut hypoperfusion frequently occurs in clinical settings such as shock, aortic surgery and other major operations . Marked reduction of gut blood flow even during colon cancer resection, a relatively minor insult as compared to esophageal and hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgeries, has been demonstrated . Gut ischemia reperfusion(I/R) causes not only gut morphological changes but also remote organ injury . Activation of gut phospholipase A2 triggers a series of inflammatory Severe gut ischemia reperfusion reduces hepatic mononuclear cell numbers in mice

The protective effect of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells in liver ischemia/reperfusion injury via down-regulation of miR-370
Objective(s): Liver transplantation is the most important therapy for end-stage liver disease and ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury is indeed a risk factor for hepatic failure after grafting. The role of miRNAs in I/R is not completely understood. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential protective role of the mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and ischemic pr...
متن کاملLiver Oxidative Stress after Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury is Leukocyte Dependent in Inbred Mice
Objective(s) There are some reports in recent years indicating that renal ischemia - reperfusion (IR) induces deleterious changes in remote organs such as liver. The aim of this study was to investigate whether leukocytes have a role on the induction of oxidative stress in liver after renal IR. Materials and Methods Inbred mice in IR donor group were subjected to renal IR injury. In sham don...
متن کاملThe Effect of Dexamethasone on Expression of Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase Gene During Liver Warm Ischemia-reperfusion in Rat
Background: Liver ischemia / reperfusion Injury (IRI) is one of the major causes of liver failure during various types of liver surgery, trauma and infections. The present study investigates the effect of dexsamethasone on the liver injury and inducible nitric oxide synthase gene expression during hepatic warm ischemia/reperfusion in rats. Materials and Methods: 24 male Wistar rats (200-250 g)...
متن کاملCoenzyme Q10 Protects Hippocampal Neurons against Ischemia/ Reperfusion Injury via Modulation of BAX/Bcl-2 Expression
Introduction: Preliminary studies have con.rmed reduction in cell death following treatment with antioxidants. According to this .nding we study the relationship between consumption of CoQ10 and expression of Bax and Bcl2 in hippocampus following ischemia/reperfusion as proteins involved in cell programmed death or apoptosis. Methods: We studied the protective role of CoQ10 against ischemia-rep...
متن کاملAntioxidant and antiapoptotic effects of erdosteine in a rat model of ovarian ischemia-reperfusion injury
Objective(s): To evaluate the protective effect of erdosteine, an antiapoptotic and antioxidant agent, on torsion–detorsion evoked histopathological changes in experimental ovarian ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury. Materials and Methods: Eighteen female Wistar albino rats were used in control, IR, and IR+Edosteine (IR-E) groups, (n=6 in each). The IR-E group received the erdosteine for seven da...
